STRANDED WITH THE BOSS (AMBER FALLS #1) by RHELAND RICHMOND
Holiday at home, check. Snowstorm, check. Hot boss ... check?
Ford Erickson didn't plan to take his hot, and very rich boss home for Christmas. But when an incoming snowstorm grounds flights and there are no vacancies in the small town of Amber Falls, Ford finds himself in close quarters with the aloof man he’s been lusting over.
He’s bound to make Santa’s naughty list with all that temptation.
A family Christmas in a small town was not how Sawyer Lancaster expected his holiday to go… and his plans definitely hadn’t included his adorable assistant and his lovely parents welcoming him into their home. More like a holiday in his cold apartment… alone.
But then again, the best gifts don’t always come wrapped in pretty bows.
When the weather clears, will Sawyer find to the courage to accept that maybe, just maybe, he’s found the perfect gift in Ford?
"Ford looked at him like he was magic, and with him, Sawyer felt like he could conquer the world."
If you're looking for a quick insta-love read with just a pinch of "oh no, this can't be happening; what the fuck? Fix it!" Stranded With The Boss: Amber Falls #1 by Realand Richmond is definitely for you.
Sawyer and Ford had chemistry from page one and it only burned hotter with every chapter. From the start the pair of them had something special even if their future was uncertain since Ford lived in Amber Falls and Sawyer was a business man who didn't seem to know how to stay in one place for long.
"Every cell of his body was filled with the certainty Ford was his, his to kiss, to touch, to love… his alone."
I loved how Ford's family just sort of adopted Sawyer with no questions asked. Doug and Barb were kind, welcoming and the kind of parents ever kid regardless of sex, gender or orientation hope to have from their first on page appearance. The fact that they didn't hesitate to play matchmaker was also endearing and a little hilarious.
Poor Ford. I could completely understand his embarrassment. But, a little help never hurt, huh?
Over all, I really enjoyed Stranded With the Boss. It is book one of Ford and Sawyer's story. It ends with a HFN that could easily be taken as a HEA if you're not up for reading book two in the Amber Falls series.
For as long as she can remember Rheland's had her nose stuck in a book, getting lost in the world of someone else's creation (She still does). Her love for writing came from her love for reading. She could never have one without the other.
Writing has always been a hobby and a cathartic experience for her. There are many stories lost to the never to be completed or published pile but needed to be written at the time.
She's just a girl that loved stories so much she decided to write hers.
Rheland would love to hear from her readers and learn more about Y'all. So if you get a chance... Holla at her.
